Hiking: The Mountains are Still There

Photo above: Even at 2900m and it’s about the smart phone for some.

This is more of a note to myself than anything else. A reminder that the mountains are still there. Calm down, wait for the heat and humidity to subside and for the travel restrictions* to be lifted and then head back out.

Plans haven’t gone to plan this year, but that’s true for everyone. You were supposed to be doing a lot more hiking.

But it’s OK. The mountains aren’t going anywhere and you’ll appreciate them more when you get back out.

The drought is almost over.

Below – a few more photos from my Minami Komagatake hike a few months ago. Taken with the wonderful Lumix G9 micro four thirds camera that isn’t dead and I don’t believe it ever will be.

Life is better in the mountains.
