Life: The Riverbank

Taken in early March just after the schools were ordered to close. Shonai River, Nagoya/Kasugai

During a walk around my neighbourhood one afternoon I saw grandson and grandmother out with a kite. It wasn’t windy but that didn’t seem to matter to them. Grandson wanted to try his hand at flying and grandmother was happy to spend time with him while she still can. The hidden blessing of no school, no game consoles, no smartphones, and parents at work. All it takes is a simple kite and an afternoon outdoors. These moments are precious.

I’ve been out and looked for these two again and again but haven’t seen them since the day I took this.
