This summer Outdoor Adventure Japan (me) will be partnering with my long time friend and experienced Japan tour guide, Justin from Hike and Bike Japan, to offer a cycling and hiking tour throughout the Japanese countryside.

We’ll be visiting a number of popular towns and cities in the mountains, including Takayama, Matsumoto, Karuizawa, Hakuba, and Kanazawa, as well as riding on the Sea of Japan coast when we visit the Noto Peninsula in Ishikawa prefecture.

Between us we have almost 40-years experience living and working in Japan, are both fluent in Japanese, and have a wealth of geographical and cultural insight throughout the areas we’ll be touring. Justin is also the founder and leader of Nagoya’s well-known Chubu Hiking International Club (CHIC), has planned and led countless group hikes and activities throughout Japan and has extensive knowledge of the country’s mountains, backroads and hidden cultural gems. Most recently he led an Australian tour in the northern Hokkaido wilderness.
