Hiking, Photography: Thirteen Summers for One Winter

How these photos happened.

1. Get given a bag full of cheap film that’s 13 years out of date. Share some with friends whether they want it or not.
2. Buy a discarded panorama camera that was briefly popular in the 1980s and 90s. Budget for no more than ¥500 ($5/£3)
3. Wait for winter and/or snow.
4. Put on good gloves and boots and go hiking in the Japanese mountains.

*I took my ‘normal’ camera along too.
