Took a long overdue trip to Kyoto last weekend. One goal this year is to visit Kyoto at least once a month. It would be silly not to as it’s only a two hour drive from Nagoya. As a bonus I got to meet up with the man behind I Do Haiku You, Sean Lotman and his fiancé. We spent the evening talking about photography, 60s and 70s South East Asian pop, and of course Japan. If you haven’t checked out any 60s or 70s Thai pop you really should do.

久しぶりに京都へ小旅行した。今年の目標の一つが、毎月京都へ行くこと。名古屋から車で２時間もかからない京都、行かないともったいない。I Do Haiku Youを書いている男性ショーンロットマンとそのフィアンセに会った。夜、写真と東南アジアの６０〜７０年代のポップ、そしてもちろん日本について語り過ごした。６０〜７０年代のタイポップを聞いたことがない方は、聞いた方がいいよ。
