Photography: Communication

One of the hardest things for refugees in Japan is the language. Luckily there are volunteers willing to help out and help them learn.
Here are a couple of snapshots from today.

Photographed all afternoon and was then told by subjects that they are scared of what will happen if I use photos that identify them. So I won’t. But did get some new contacts to follow up tomorrow so all is good.

日本語を勉強することが難民にとっては非情に難しい。でもボランティアとして教えてくれる日本語の教師は結構います。

昼からプロジェクトの為にに撮影しましたが、終わったら撮った方が本人が分かる写真を使って欲しくないと言われた。向こうの政府が見つかったら本人と本人の家族にとって危険だそうです。でも、他の難民の方々と接してきましたので全然無駄な一日ではなかった。
